New Project: A Feature Film

At the committee meeting last night it was agreed that as the groups’ short films are almost at the shooting stage, we will now be engaging members to come up with many, but settle on one, ideas for a feature film. This will be an ambitious project  but the talent displayed by members suggests that we will take it in our stride to complete.

In addition, the short film groups will be reformed from scratch in September and we will plan to make four films each per annum, all to go into an annual competition to be judged externally.  We considered setting a different genre for each round but in the end decided that it would be more interesting to leave it to each group to decide on the genre but set a theme for each round.  We will announce the details of the themes for the four rounds later in the summer so that members can start preparing.
